Summary
Features: Specializing in an exclusive intimate six-man boating experience, Tahoe Whitewater Tours takes guests on a classic rafting adventure down an array of class I-IV rapids.
Why We Go: From the famous "Boca Run" to the "Texas Chain Saw Mama," Tahoe whitewater rafting is arguably the most thrilling experience available in the entire region. Tahoe Whitewater Tours does it the right way.
- Experienced, Fun Guides: You'll be in good hands during your Lake Tahoe rafting experience, with down-to-earth guides who know the river and know how to have a good time.
- Personalized Attention: Because of the smaller six-man boats as opposed to eight-man or ten-man expeditions, guests receive more individualized attention on their Lake Tahoe rafting experience. Tahoe Whitewater Tours are also very accommodating with requests for private groups.
- High Adventure Trips: Experience an adventure you will never forget with a full-day journey down the Middle Fork of the American River. Class IV and V rapids border on going down waterfalls. A delicious lunch is provided.
Inside Knowledge: Group adventure packages are available for groups of 12 to groups of 100.
Do's and Don'ts:
- Do Research the Appropriate Run: With so many options and difficulty levels, it's easy to find the perfect match for your desired rapid level.
- Do Know How to Swim: While Tahoe Whitewater Tours aren't life-threatening by any means, it is possible to get knocked off of your boat. As long as you can tread water and not panic, you'll be fine.
- Don't Bring Loose Ends: For obvious reasons, you'll want to minimize the number of things you can lose on your Truckee River rafting excursion.
- Don't Bring Your Camera: Tahoe Whitewater Rafting staffs professional cameramen at strategic locations to snap all the best photos for you. It will be nearly impossible to snap photos while trying to navigate down the river.
