Inside Knowledge: The building that houses Spindleshanks Tahoe Restaurant was constructed in 1927, and was originally the Sandy Beach Resort. The Tahoe Vista Post Office eventually set up shop in the hotel lobby, in 1942. Then, Colonel Clair's Restaurant, Sweetwater, and Crawdaddy's were located here in subsequent years before Spindleshanks finally opened in March 2000.
