Cedar Crest Cottages form a little community of vacation cottages, each named for one of the species of birds frequenting this area: Sparrow, Chickadee, Osprey, Stellar’s Jay, Mallard, Robin and Woodpecker Eagle. Designed and built by the award-winning contractor / architect team of Bruce Olson Construction and Olson-Olson Architects, each cottage’s color palette, wood, stone, furniture, décor and even linens are coordinated with the hues of each bird’s plumage. While the original Cedar Crest resort was built as a rustic hunting lodge in 1933, it has been transformed into a community of modern vacation dwellings that retain their original charm.
