Great skiing and village type setting
Northstar is a great skiing option, especially if you’re in North Lake Tahoe. Actually, if you’re in North Lake, then it really is the best option. They put a lot of money into this place and you can really tell. The hotels here are so nice. It’s basically its own village surrounded by mountains with shopping, restaurants and hotels. The skiing here is really good too. One of the better places to ski in Lake Tahoe. But don’t expect views like at Heavenly or anything. The views here don’t compare to that, but it’s great skiing. More of a place for advanced skiers, the slopes are mostly blacks. Definitely a great place to hit up for a day if you’re looking for somewhere good to ski, but I wouldn’t recommend skiing an entire weekend just in Northstar.
