What to Know: Monique's wedding photojournalist approach offers brides a "documentary" style coverage of their wedding day. This style is a more candid style of photography that is not staged or posed. While they do offer some formal portraits of the family, bridal party and wedding couple, they try to keep it to a minimum.
- Packages: There are five different packages clients can choose from at Lake Tahoe wedding photography by Monique. The most basic includes a six hour session with one photographer, either Scott or Monique. This package costing $2,500, includes 400 4x6 photographs in a presentation box and access to a password-protected online gallery. Engagement sessions and "trash the dress" sessions are also available.
- Albums: Lake Tahoe wedding photography by Monique provides 5x5 spiral-bound books filled with proofs and an 8x8 starter album. Clients can customize their albums any way they choose with different fabrics, colors, patterns, sizes, borders, prints and mounted photos. Lake Tahoe Photography by Monique provides a complete set of digital negatives that are professionally edited at no extra charge.
- Destination Weddings: A package for a destination wedding is available for $10,000 and includes complete multi-day coverage of the wedding rehearsal/dinner the day before, wedding day and the day after or a "trash the dress" session. This package includes two professional photographers, 1,000 4x6 photos in a presentation box, a custom DVD slide show set to music with 100 photographs, among other things.
Inside Knowledge: These two Tahoe wedding photographers actually share their own inspiring love story. Monique and Scott met while attending the photojournalism program at San Jose State University. After school, they went their separate ways starting careers in different parts of the country. Monique stayed and became a photographer for a newspaper in Palo Alto, California, while Scott took a job as a photographer for the AP in Mexico, also covering the Caribbean and Central America.
Five years later they reunited at the same place where they first met. They wed in 2002, and Monique became a full time wedding photographer after years of photographing weddings on the weekends. Both now have years of experience in Lake Tahoe wedding photojournalism.
