- Do Check for Special Events: The Tahoe Rim Trail Association does feature free special events year round. During the Winter, there are guided snowshoe hikes and full moon snowshoe hikes. Times and trails vary by date, participants can register online. The Tahoe Rim Trail Association also features several training programs including wilderness first aid, trail construction and crew leader training, first aid and CPR and the annual outdoor leadership and guide training.
- Don’t Litter: Visitors can help keep the trails beautiful and well-maintained for future generations by cleaning up after themselves. Leave No Trace program is part of a non-profit organization that aims to educate people on wildlife preservation.
- Don’t Forget to Show Your Support: There are several ways residents and tourists can help maintain Lake Tahoe Rim Trail. Over the next decade, the Trail Rim Trail Association plans to add 65 miles to the existing trail. People can choose to become a member, make a one-time donation, tribute or endowment gift donation.
