- Snowmobiles: Offering some of the best snow equipment, visitors can have fun while riding stylish Arctic Cat sleds. Rentals include helmets, operating instructions and safety information, location maps and a full tank of gas.
- Snow Terrain: Sierra Mountain Sports of Lake Tahoe offers directions and maps of trails people can explore including Blackwood Canyon, Brockway Summit, Donner Pass, Tahoe Meadows and Spooner Summit. Some of the trails snowmobiles are not allowed on are Yuba Gap, Echo Lake and Carson Pass.
- Rentals: Lake Tahoe Snowmobiles offers rentals from 9am to 5pm for $245. Snowmobiles can fit two riders. Sierra Mountain Sports of Lake Tahoe also sells new and used snowmobiles.

- Do Make Reservations: Reservations can be made online or by phone. Guests must be 18 years or older to rent a snowmobile, and riders must be at least 16-years-old accompanied by an adult.
- Do Arrive Early: Sierra Mountain Sports of Lake Tahoe requires visitors to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to their reservation to complete paperwork. Those who arrive late, risk losing riding time on their rental.
- Don't Forget to Dress in Layers: Snowmobiling in Lake Tahoe can be a full day adventure. Lake Tahoe snowmobiles offers snow suit rentals but also advises visitors to dress in multiple warm layers.
- Don't Cancel: Reservations may be cancelled 48 hours in advance without penalty. Cancellations made less than 48 hours may be subject to $100 charge per vehicle.
