The Avalon Lodge is a nice place. The best thing about is probably its location. You can walk everywhere pretty much - to the Heavenly gondola and to the lake, which is just a quick two block walk. So that part is really convenient.

The rooms are spacious and the fireplaces in the rooms are nice. The beds are really nice and comfortable as well. Actually, it looks like the rooms have actually just recently been redone.

The downside here is that the hotel is a little older and so the walls are pretty thin, to the point where you can kinda hear the people in the room next to you. The bathrooms counter space is limited to say the least, so there’s no where to really put your toiletries, which really bothered me.

But other then that, the hotel wasn’t bad at all. They offer free internet and free parking, which is a huge plus for my pocketbook. I would recommend staying here, if nothing else for the great location.
